RALEIGH — Tonight, North Carolina’s Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper will give his State of the State address from the N.C. House of Representatives chamber.
Following the announcement of a deal to expand Medicaid to nearly 600,000 was announced last week, one of Cooper’s long-term priorities is poised to become law.
Tonight’s address is expected to be the last one of Cooper’s term as the address is traditionally given in odd-numbered years.
Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson will give the Republican response.
