Until recently, we all studied science, and we believed that science was factual, and we followed science wherever it led. Things have changed.
During the COVID pandemic, we were told to ignore science and believe what Lord Fauci said. Now science can mean whatever one chooses. We can make it up as we go along.
For all recorded history, we pretty much held gender questions as self-evident. The new gender orthodoxy has supplanted the idea of humanity’s self-evident belief. If anyone disagrees with this new orthodoxy, they are a bigot, hater, etc. Very intelligent people struggle to identify what a woman is. Even a learned justice of the Supreme Court explained that since she was not a biologist, she could not give the definition of a woman.
These massive cultural changes have caused lots of stress and confusion. Now there is a fight over “trans women” (men) completing against real women in sports. Ordinary people tie themselves in knots to try to make explanations without insulting someone. It’s impossible. The Canadian Cancer Society apologized for not calling the cervix a “front hole” in a nonbinary disclaimer.
There is an even more disturbing trend starting to show its ugly head. Parents are losing their children for refusing to allow their children to transition or identify as transgender. It is being described as “child abuse.” Families all over our country are being separated from their children and deemed abusive for following normalcy.
The Daily Caller has put together a docuseries of a few parents who have lost their children. It is eye-opening and it’s hard to believe that it’s happening in America.
Child Protective Services and the Foster Care System are destroying families and children in the process. The very people who are entrusted to care for children and keep them safe are the ones perpetrating disaster on these young people.
A Montana couple lost custody of their 14-year-old daughter for opposing gender transition. The couple has filed a suit against CPS for violating their religious rights, and they claim CPS did not have a warrant signed by a judge. The state placed the child in a psychiatric facility in Wyoming and banned the parents from communicating with their child.
Parents in Indiana lost custody of their trans teen. They were accused of being verbally and emotionally abusive to their child by not accepting that the child was transgender. A judge demanded that the child be removed from the home, but the abuse charges were dropped. The teen also suffers from an eating disorder.
A military family in Washington, D.C., lost custody of their 16-year-old autistic son for refusing to allow him to transition to a girl. The family claims he never showed any interest in transitioning until he was hospitalized for self-harming after a breakup with his girlfriend. The family has accused the staff at the hospital of a “full-on campaign” to transgender this child. They say their son is very impressionable due to his autism. A lawyer representing the family said, “This is the craziest case I’ve ever had. I don’t know why there are people who think this makes sense. But I guess lots of people agree with this in Washington, D.C., now.” Sadly, it’s not just Washington, D.C. It could be coming soon to a family near you.
European countries, which have been way ahead of the United States in gender transitioning, have started to slow down. Many doctors and transgender providers have stated that the first step in gender transitioning should be psychiatric counseling. Amen to that.
In speaking with professionals that I personally know, the stories are consistent. Each one affirms what I suspected. These professionals say they have never had a patient with gender dysphoria who did not have many other serious mental issues.
These stories are sad, and families are broken and devastated when their children are taken away. I’m betting in every case, these children are more confused and unhappy now than they have ever been. Children need to be with their families who love them more than anyone else ever could.
