ALBEMARLE — Candidate filing for Stanly County in the 2022 elections ended on Friday, March 4.
Republicans will continue to hold countywide offices, as no Democrats filed for county commission seats, school board seats, district court judge, and district attorney.
In District 4 on the county commission, Trent Hatley is unopposed.
Additionally, state Rep. Wayne Sasser is unopposed for reelection, and in the state Senate incumbent Carl Ford faces Rowan County Democrat Tangela Morgan.
Republican primaries will take place for seven county offices on the county commission, board of elections, and clerk of court.
