The Rebel Bulls fell to 3-5 (2-2 in the Yadkin Valley Conference) following their 56-7 home loss to West Montgomery last week that included allowing more than 330 yards on the ground. But relief should come in the form of Chatham Central. The Bears are 1-7 and yet to win in four conference games, having been outscored 195-12 in Yadkin Valley play.

West Stanly at East Montgomery
Biscoe  |  Friday, Oct. 20
7:30 p.m.

The Colts (3-5, 1-1) snapped a three-game losing streak with an easy 60-0 win over hapless Central Academy of Technology and Arts. It will be much harder this week against the Eagles, who are 7-1 and bounced back from their first loss of the season two weeks ago to top Forest Hills 24-14 last Friday. Both teams sit a game behind 2-0 Mount Pleasant in the Rocky River Conference standings.

North Rowan at North Stanly
New London  |  Friday, Oct. 20
7 p.m.

Both teams coasted to conference wins last week, setting up the matchup of 7-1 teams that could determine the winner in the Yadkin Valley Conference. The Comets beat Stanly County rival Albemarle 40-12, while North Rowan extended its win streak to six with a 49-6 dismantling of Chatham Central. The Comets (200-plus yards on the ground last week) and Cavaliers (nearly 400 yards) will each attempt to dominate on the ground.

South Davidson at Albemarle
Albemarle  |  Friday, Oct. 20

The Wildcats (1-7, 0-4) have been outscored 286-56 in eight games and lost 42-12 last week at North Moore.
