Albemarle football senior linebacker Vincent Gregory is Athlete of the Week.
The Bulldogs picked up a 33-14 win over West Stanly on Friday, and Gregory led the way. A 32-yard rushing touchdown gave Albemarle its first lead, and an 81-yard run for a score helped put the game away in the second half. He carried just five times but gained 118 yards with two touchdowns.
For the season, Gregory is the Bulldogs’ leading scorer on the ground and second-leading rusher despite having half the carries of the team leader. That’s due to his 10.7 yards-per-carry average.
