Albemarle track’s Vincent Gregory is the Athlete of the Week.
Gregory was named Yadkin Valley All-Conference last season after recording 78 tackles, 48 solo and three tackles for loss. He also competes for the Bulldogs’ track team and ranks in the top 10 in school history for his times in the 400, 4×200 relay and 4×400 relay.
He was recently named the winner of the NCHSAA’s Heart of a Champion award, which recognizes student athletes from NCHSAA member schools who have participated in at least one varsity sport or cheerleading and remained ejection‑free during the school year while exemplifying outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship in their community.
