Shyquel Allison, a senior at High Point University, was crowned its 54th Miss Randolph County on Saturday at the Asheboro High School Auditorium. The first runner-up was Madison Sigmon, UNC Charlotte graduate. Allison is the daughter of Keisha Edwards and George Allison of High Point. Sydney LaFollette of Locust was named Miss Randolph County’s Outstanding Teen. She is the daughter of Travis and Jodie LaFollette. LaFollete chose “Give the Gift of Life-Be Bone Marrow Donor” as her community service platform.
